Denver said he chose to work at Safe Haven because he heard so many good things about the company and its employees. His one day of on-the-job training as a new bird technician was like drinking from a fire hose. He watched, practiced, and learned with the hope that his skills would quickly and easily be honed in his new career.
His first day flying solo proved he was man enough to handle the challenge of catching birds inside commercial facilities up to 2 million ft2. After setting up his nets he observed the flight pattern for a short period. He made a few adjustments to the net placement and bravo! After 10 minutes he successfully rescued and released the female house sparrow shown below. The job was accomplished in less than an hour. It appears Denver is on his way to becoming a master bird technician in no time!
